| Sometimes bowling really isn’t about getting strikes or making gutter balls. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Warren County (BBBSWC) is gearing up for its signature fundraising event – BOWL FOR KIDS’ SAKE. This event raises much-needed funds to support our mentoring programs, which match caring adult volunteers to children in our community.
BFKS is a fun, easy way to get together with friends and family and through your volunteer 'fun'raising efforts make a difference in the lives of local children. This year's events will take place on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Warren Lanes in Phillipsburg and Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Oakwood Lanes in Washington.
Registration is easy and using our new online fundraising tool, each team and bowler has the opportunity to expand their fundraising efforts by creating their own event website. We ask that all adult bowlers raise a minimum of $50 in pledges and $30 for all college students and children under 18 years of age who wish to attend the Community Day of their choice.
All bowlers receive a FREE T-Shirt & have the chance to win our Grand Prize. For every $50 colleged in pledges, bowlers receive one entry into the drawing. All bowlers who raise $125 or more will also receive a BBBSWC sweatshirt. Prizes will also be awarded for the Top 3 'fund'raisers.
Or take your commitment to BFKS 2009 a step further & become a Team Captain. Get together 4-6 friends, neighbors, coworkers or family memebers and form your own team. You'll be their cheerleader, motivating them as they seek pledges and take to the lanes at Community Day. All Team Captains receive a special gift for their efforts.
Last year's event raised $50,000 and we expect great things from Bowl for Kids' Sake 2009.

A day of fun'raising' can help make a lifelong impact on a child in our community.
